Notice of Voting Equipment Audit

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 7.08 and the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (52 U.S.C. § 21081), the Town of Otter Creek will conduct a voting system audit on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Otter Creek Town Hall, located at E5905 County Road S, Wheeler WI. The reporting unit to be audited is Ward 1, which utilizes the Dominion Voting – ImageCast Evolution (ICE) voting system. The reporting unit and contests were randomly selected by the Wisconsin Elections Commission.

April 1, 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at an Election to be held in the Town of Otter Creek on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed. All terms are for two years beginning on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

Town Board Supervisor 1 Cecil Hayes
Town Board Supervisor 2 Bob Bernier

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a Town Caucus for the purpose of nominating candidates to appear on the Spring Election ballot for the above-listed offices will be scheduled during a meeting between December 1, 2024, and January 1, 2025. The Caucus will be held on a date not sooner than January 2 and not later than January 21. Notice of the scheduled date of the Caucus will be given at least five days before the Caucus.
Voter registration is required for all Wisconsin Elections. Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this Election. If you do not have a photo ID, you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Who is Eligible to Vote?

You may vote if:

  • You are a United States Citizen;
  • You are 18 years or older today;
  • You have lived in the municipality for 28 days before this election; and
  • You are registered to vote or are registering today.

The residence of a person is the place where the person’s habitation is fixed, without any present intent to move, and to which, when absent, the person intends to return. 

Any citizen who moves within this state later than 28 days before an election shall vote at his or her previous municipality or ward.

Any person convicted of treason, felony, or bribery is not allowed to vote unless his or her civil rights are restored.
